Anderson Farms in Erie sets aside Monday, Oct. 5 as a Homeschool Day during its Fall Festival. Short farm-education presentations run every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the farm’s ‘Cornegie Hall,’ and the $17 ticket (ages 4 and up) includes a small pumpkin, the corn maze, the pumpkin patch, a wagon ride, farm animals, the combine slide and the play areas. Gem mining and paintball are extra.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable; coupons are not valid. The farm lists Oct. 28 as the weather makeup date. At $17 it is the priciest item in our homeschool section this week, but a weekday farm festival without weekend crowds is the trade.
