Carson Nature Center, the South Suburban Parks and Recreation nature center in South Platte Park, hosts its Halloween Creature-fest on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026. South Suburban’s fall events post describes it as a free daytime event with hands-on, non-scary activities for all ages, and it encourages costumes. Visit Littleton’s Halloween guide lists it from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a bike costume contest at 10 a.m. and a silent disco at 11 a.m.
It is the daytime, little-kid-friendly counterweight to Littleton’s haunted houses and lantern walks: creatures, crafts and the nature center’s exhibits, with the South Platte River trails right outside if the weather holds. South Suburban asks families to register through its online catalog, so sign up before you go rather than counting on walk-in space.
