The Littleton Museum’s Harvest Festival is the small-scale, low-cost answer to the big pumpkin patches: a 19th-century-style harvest day on the museum’s living-history farms, Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entry to the grounds is free. Pumpkins (some grown on the museum’s own 1860s and 1890s farms), select activities and refreshments are ticketed on the day.
Expect pumpkin picking, hay wagon rides, games and prizes, with the farm animals and costumed interpreters as the backdrop. Proceeds support library and museum programs through the Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum.

- No food or drink is allowed on the farm sites on regular days; check festival signage for what applies.
- The museum itself is free year-round and makes a good homeschool history stop any Tuesday through Sunday.
