The Wildcat Mountain Trail Races on Saturday, Oct. 3 send adults out on singletrack for a 10-mile or 10K course while kids run age-matched distances, from a quarter mile for ages 2-4 up to two miles for ages 11-12. The start is at the Douglas County East/West Trailhead by Rocky Heights Middle School in Highlands Ranch.
Adult entry includes a dry-fit shirt, a finisher medal, a pancake breakfast and a post-race beer from Living the Dream Brewing. Kids get a custom bib and a finisher medal for $10. Register in advance through RunSignUp; the adult fee is listed there.
Know before you go
- Trail running on dirt with real elevation; wear trail shoes if you have them.
