Holiday shopping in the Art District on Santa Fe starts on Denver Arts Week’s First Friday. The Center for Visual Art, MSU Denver’s gallery at 965 Santa Fe Drive, opens its Winter Artist Market on Friday, Nov. 6, and keeps it up through Saturday, Dec. 12. The gallery describes filling its spaces with handmade goods and affordable art from more than 40 local artists: jewelry, ceramics, prints, cards, books and textiles, curated as gift items.
The market keeps the gallery’s regular hours, Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., so it works as a weekday stop as well as a First Friday one. Opening night, Nov. 6, also brings the gallery’s BFA exhibition reception from 6 to 8 p.m., which the gallery lists as free and open to everyone. The market listing itself does not print an admission charge.
