Belmar Library opens a community altar for Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. Visitors can add a photo or a small trinket to the display.
Visitors can also make a paper marigold or fold a wish to honor people who have died. The library’s listing carries a Hispanic Heritage Month label, and it says the altar will be available from Sunday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 1.
