The Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster runs two Homeschool Days this fall, both Thursdays starting at 9 a.m.: Oct. 15, themed ‘Masters of Disguise,’ and Nov. 12, themed ‘Adaptations.’ The days include special classes, crafts and hands-on activities about invertebrate habitats, life cycles and adaptations, on top of the usual butterfly rainforest and touch tanks.
Homeschool Day pricing is $8 for children 2-12 ($6 members) and $12 for adults ($10 members), with kids under 2 free. Regular admission is $14.45 per child and $19.45 per adult, so the discount is substantial. Buy tickets through the pavilion’s ticket portal. Two other money-savers any day: SNAP/EBT holders pay $5 per person, and groups of 10 or more students get one free adult per five students on regular visits.
