The official SCFD free-days calendar lists Friends of Dinosaur Ridge offering free exhibit-hall entry on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a Paleo ArtFest from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the same day. Dinosaur Ridge, on the hogback in Morrison, is where real dinosaur tracks and bones sit in the rock along the ridge road, so this is a rare chance to add the indoor exhibits at no cost.
The main visitor center and Lockley Discovery Center are open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 31 (then 9 to 4), with free parking at the main center. On regular days, the combined Morrison Dino Pass (bus tour, exhibit halls and the Morrison Natural History Museum) is $34 for adults and $22 for ages 3-11, and the Deep Time Detour exhibition is $10 adults, $8 children. Note that the free-day listing appeared on SCFD’s calendar; the Dinosaur Ridge pages we fetched did not repeat it, so confirm on the day if you are driving far.
