The Longmont Museum’s galleries have been closed for an expansion, and they reopen on Saturday, Oct. 17 with a free, all-day celebration from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: a 9 a.m. ribbon-cutting, tours and all-ages activities, plus the debut of new galleries and a hands-on ‘DreamLab.’
After reopening day, admission is $12 for adults and $8 for youth, free on the second Saturday of every month (Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 this year) and $1 with EBT/SNAP. New hours from Oct. 17 are Monday-Saturday 9-5, Sunday 1-5 and most Thursdays until 9 p.m. For younger kids, the drop-in ‘Discovery Days Big Kid Days’ for ages up to 11 run Oct. 16 (all sessions), Nov. 4 and Dec. 2 at 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. for $2.75 per person, no pre-registration.
