Watch: Connect for Health Colorado’s ‘Marco Counts on Connect for Health Colorado for Help With Health Insurance,’ with open enrollment starting Nov. 1

Connect for Health Colorado features this video from its own YouTube channel on its homepage. Here it is, with what the marketplace says to do before open enrollment begins Sunday, Nov. 1, including a site outage Oct. 20 to 27.

Connect for Health Colorado, where Coloradans shop for health insurance plans and apply for financial help with premiums, embeds this video on its homepage under a heading about being prepared for the unexpected. It lives on the organization’s own YouTube channel, ConnectForHealthCO, and the title is ‘Marco Counts on Connect for Health Colorado for Help With Health Insurance.’

Why now: the marketplace says open enrollment begins Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, and it is telling customers to prepare early. Its Estimate & Explore tool already has Plan Year 2027 information for comparing plans and estimated costs. There is also a gap to plan around: from Oct. 20 to 27, the website, the application and customer service will be down for maintenance. We could not confirm when the video was published or how long it runs, and we have not described its contents beyond the title. This post is a pointer to the official source, not insurance advice.

Know before open enrollment

  • Start date: Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026. Closing date and coverage deadlines: not listed on the pages we read, so check the marketplace’s site once enrollment opens.
  • Preview now: the marketplace says its Estimate & Explore tool is available with Plan Year 2027 information, so you can review and compare plans before Nov. 1.
  • Outage: Tuesday, Oct. 20 to Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026. The marketplace says its website, application and customer service will be unavailable for routine maintenance, and customers will not be able to reach their accounts until the work is finished on Oct. 27.
  • Cigna customers: the marketplace says Cigna is leaving Colorado’s individual medical market, so current Cigna medical customers will need to choose a new plan for 2027.
  • Renewing: even customers who are automatically re-enrolled should compare plans, costs, providers and prescription drug coverage, the marketplace says.
  • Help: the marketplace points to free help around the state from its certified Assisters and from health insurance Brokers. Its customer service number is 855-752-6749.
  • Details: Connect for Health Colorado, its Sept. 25 note on preparing early and its Assister finder.

FOUNDER + EDITOR, COLORADO LOCAL

Jessica Holland is a Colorado mom, entrepreneur, marketer and founder of Colorado Local. After years of constantly searching for things to do with her family, local businesses worth supporting, educational experiences for her girls, worship nights, community events and simply more GOOD news, she realized the resource she wanted didn’t really exist in one place. So she built it.

Jessica is also the founder of Holland Health Marketing, where she helps businesses grow through digital marketing, local visibility and community connection.

Her Christian faith is a big part of who she is and the way she sees the world. Colorado Local isn’t a faith-only publication, but you’ll absolutely find faith here, alongside stories about neighbors helping neighbors, churches serving their communities and people using what they have to make Colorado a little brighter.

She lives in Northern Colorado with her husband, two daughters and their very large Newfoundland, Mugsy.

Her mission for Colorado Local is pretty simple: help people get out, connect, support local and find more of the good happening right in front of us.
