Denver Museum of Nature & Science Home School Day (free, Wednesday, Sept. 30)

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s Fall Home School Day is Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is complimentary for homeschool families, but registration is required (online or by calling 303-370-6000), entry times are assigned and availability is limited. Interactive stations run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Morgridge Family Exploration Center, including a portable planetarium and space-themed activities.

Infinity Theater showings are $5 per person and temporary surcharge exhibitions cost extra; the Gates Planetarium is closed that day. The museum says more 2026-27 Home School Day dates are coming, and its general policy already makes permanent exhibits free for registered PreK-12 school and youth groups, which the page applies to homeschool groups.

Know before you go

  • Register in advance; walk-ups are not the plan for this one.
  • 2001 Colorado Blvd., Denver. The museum’s next public free day is Sunday, Oct. 11.
