Dream Creatures of Oaxaca: make alebrijes with artist Damaris Santos at Wheat Ridge Library, in English and Spanish (free, Thursday, Oct. 29, 5-6 p.m.)

On Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 6 p.m., Wheat Ridge Library hosts Dream Creatures of Oaxaca: Alebrijes. The library describes it as a way to celebrate Hispanic heritage by creating colorful alebrijes inspired by traditional Oaxacan folk art, led by local artist Damaris Santos. The program is offered in English and Spanish.

The library lists the program for school-age kids, tweens, teens and adults. Jefferson County Public Library events are free; this one requires registration, which opens Thursday, Oct. 15, at noon.
