It is the last week to catch ‘Misery’ at the Arvada Center. The production opened Sept. 4 and closes Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, on the Main Stage Theatre. The play is by William Goldman, adapted from the Stephen King novel: after a roadside accident, author Paul Sheldon wakes up in the home of Annie Wilkes, who calls herself his number one fan and has no plan to let him leave.
Lynne Collins directs, with Geoffrey Kent as Paul Sheldon, Jacque Wilke as Annie Wilkes and Josh Robinson as Buster. The show runs 100 minutes with no intermission. This one is not for kids: the Arvada Center’s own advisory mentions prescription drugs, guns, physical violence, sledgehammers and very strong adult language. Tickets start at $60, plus processing fees.
