Belmar Library in Lakewood opens a drop-in activity room for grade schoolers on two afternoons next week: Monday, Oct. 12, and Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. The library schedules the series for days when school is closed.
Activities across the series include crafts, games, science projects, movies or a guest presentation; the library does not say which one lands on which day. It is for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade with an adult. Jefferson County Public Library does not label this a homeschool program. It is a weekday, early-afternoon program for school-age kids, which makes it an easy fit for homeschool families who want a hands-on group activity during the day.
