For five hours on Sunday, Oct. 18, Laurel Street belongs to people instead of cars. The City of Fort Collins closes Laurel between Mason Street and Shields Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Open Streets, a free event for walking, biking, rolling and scootering. The city describes one to two miles of car-free streets lined with activities hosted by local businesses and organizations, live music, food trucks, wellness activities and hands-on art.
