The Arvada Center brings in the Colorado Shakespeare Festival for a school-day performance of “Julius Caesar” on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. It is an abridged, 45-minute staging recommended for grades 8 to 12, and it lands on Election Day, a fitting date for a play about leadership, power and persuasion.
Tickets are $12 per student, or $9 per student for Title I schools. The center’s page says the performance is followed by a talkback with cast members and describes a 50-minute workshop that ties the play to situations students face. Ask when you book how the workshop portion works for your group.
A note for homeschool families: the Arvada Center’s student performance page is written for schools and does not mention homeschool groups either way. Its student matinee request form says a group needs 10 or more students to qualify for student matinee pricing, so a co-op or several families booking together is the practical route. Confirm that your group is eligible, and whether the 10-student minimum applies to this performance, before you plan around it.
