Highlands Ranch’s Thanksgiving morning run is the TD5K, short for Turkey Day 5K, on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026. Race-day bib and shirt pickup and registration open at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m. The course starts and finishes near Canvas Credit Union Stadium at Highlands Ranch, 3270 Redstone Park Circle, and the organizer describes it as a 5K for participants of all paces. Strollers and dogs are welcome, a post-race pancake breakfast follows, and a beer garden for ages 21 and up opens at 9 a.m. The event is run by Downing Events and supports the Douglas County Fallen Officer Fund.
Registration is by age group and goes up as the date gets closer. Through Nov. 5, adults and teens 13 and up (the Jenny/Jake category) pay $44 plus fees, kids 6 to 12 (Little Chicks) pay $28 plus fees and include a long-sleeve shirt, and kids 5 and under (Hatchlings) run free without a shirt. From Nov. 6 to 21 those prices rise to $48 and $32 plus fees, and race-day registration is $50 for adults and $35 for kids 6 to 12. A Flock of Four package covers two adults and two children 12 and under for $125 plus fees through Nov. 5 and $140 plus fees from Nov. 6 to 21, as long as all four are registered together. Race-day shirts are not guaranteed.
