32 volunteers helped bring close to 350 people to Longmont’s free LevelUp gaming festival in its second year

The City of Longmont says its free LevelUp Longmont gaming and esports festival drew close to 350 people to the Longmont Museum in its second year, with 32 volunteers, 14 vendors and community groups, and 24 tournament players.

Longmont’s free gaming and esports festival, LevelUp Longmont, drew close to 350 people to the Longmont Museum in its second year, the City of Longmont said in a recap posted Monday, Oct. 5, 2026. The city’s event page lists the festival for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the museum, 400 Quail Rd.

According to the city, 32 volunteers helped run the day, and 14 vendors and community organizations took part. Twenty-four players competed in esports tournaments, with brackets for Street Fighter 6 and Brawlhalla. Around them, kids and adults raced, steered robots and made music, and the city says a set of Quest Logs nudged people to explore and try something new.

The recap thanks the sponsors, players, volunteers and attendees, and passes along praise from two participants for the staff and volunteers who ran the festival.
