Community Table, the Arvada food pantry and assistance nonprofit, is asking neighbors for a different kind of donation this month. Its October newsletter, posted Oct. 1, 2026, says the next quarterly blood drive with Vitalant is Thursday, Oct. 29, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Community Room at 4600 W. 60th Ave. The newsletter credits Partner Colorado Credit Union with backing the drive.

The Community Room is part of the building Community Table moved into in July 2025. In its July 2026 newsletter, marking one year there, the nonprofit said it had welcomed more than 2,400 new families, representing nearly 7,100 household members, and had celebrated the 10th graduate of its GED preparation program.

According to that newsletter, the room has also hosted free pet care clinics for the pets of people without shelter, diabetes education classes and financial literacy workshops, and a Senior Shopping Hour started in March. Community Table says it began in 1982 as a grassroots food pantry in Arvada, and that volunteers now help collect, sort and distribute nearly 1.5 million pounds of food a year.
