Rheinlander Bakery has been part of Olde Town Arvada since 1963, according to the bakery’s website. For decades it was run by the Dimmer family. The site says Ed Dimmer bought the bakery from his parents in 1980 and that Ed and Maro Dimmer were its second-generation owners.
When the Dimmers retired in 2021, the business passed to Loren and Luke Naftz. Loren Naftz started working at the bakery in 2011 after earning a baking and pastry arts degree from Johnson and Wales University, the site says.
What they do
The bakery describes its work as European-inspired confections, baked seven days a week. Alongside its traditional recipes it makes gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and sugar-free items. The Naftz family, with sons Perrin and Elyas and the bakery staff, still makes Dimmer family recipes and adds new ones, according to the site.
