Windy Saddle Cafe is a coffee shop and cafe at 1110 Washington Ave. in Golden. Its website says it was established in 2007 and names the Wiebers as the owners. The family, who say they come from Wisconsin, invite people to simply drop by; no reservation is needed.
What they do
Coffee comes first here. The cafe says it buys from roasters that source ethically, and it sells bags of beans to take home. The kitchen serves breakfast and lunch, including sandwiches and salads, and the bakery case runs from cinnamon rolls to scones and brownies. Gluten-free and vegan options are offered daily, according to the site.
Wine and beer are on the menu too. For families, the cafe has a space set aside for kids and a kids’ menu.
