Fort Collins United Methodist Church holds its annual blessing of the pets at Eastside Park on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Along with the blessing, the church is offering free ice cream served by Glacier Ice Cream and a ride in a horse-drawn wagon.
The church is calling this year’s gathering Boxers and Briefs: a celebration of pets and a clothing drive to benefit the Kids Closet. It is collecting gently used clothing plus new socks, new underwear and diapers, and asks people to bring donations to Eastside Park on Oct. 4.
