October opens with a horror movie and a full orchestra. On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Colorado Symphony performs every note of Hans Zimmer’s score to ‘The Ring’ (2002) while the film plays on screens above the stage at Boettcher Concert Hall. Jason Seber conducts. The film follows a journalist investigating a videotape that is said to kill anyone who watches it seven days later, which is either a perfect date night or a terrible one depending on your date.
Tickets run $20 to $124 before fees and taxes, and the symphony notes that prices can rise with demand as the date gets closer. No age guidance is published on the ticket page; it is a horror film, so plan accordingly.
