Colorado Runner Events calls its Ghosts & Goblins run a fun and family-friendly way to celebrate the holiday, and the course does the rest: both the 5K and the 10K start at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 in City Park, at 2001 Steele St., with the zoo and the museum as scenery. Every finisher gets a shirt and a medal, the races are chip-timed, and there is food at the finish.
Know before you go
- From Oct. 1 the 5K is $36 ($40 on race day) and the 10K is $46 ($50 on race day). All races are $5 less for ages 17 and under.
- City Park, 2001 Steele St., Denver. Both distances start at 9 a.m.
- Earlier in the month: the Spooky Sprint in Littleton on Oct. 3 and the Berthoud Zombie Fun Run on Oct. 17.
