International Archaeology Day comes to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Lower South Lot 2. The Red Rocks listing describes it as a free, family-friendly celebration of archaeology, history and culture.
Visitors can try atlatl throwing, watch a tipi demonstration and see performances by Indigenous 5280. New this year, attendees can register for one of 50 free admission tickets to the Buffalo Bill Museum. The event is hosted by Community Connections LLC in partnership with Colorado Preservation, Inc.
