New Denver Church hosts a chapter of The MomCo, the organization formerly known as MOPS International, for moms with kids of any age. The group meets twice a month, and its October meetings are Friday, Oct. 9 and Friday, Oct. 23, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church on Bonnie Brae Boulevard. The church describes the mornings as community, encouragement and practical ideas, with brunch for the moms and childcare for the kids.
The church says new moms are welcome year-round and that a mom can register for a single meeting to see whether the group is a good fit. MomCo is a faith-based organization, and the church’s page says the group welcomes people of all faith backgrounds or none.
