The Poudre Learning Center is Greeley-Evans School District 6’s outdoor education campus at 8313 Poudre River Rd., where K-12 students study ecosystems, water and native species through place-based lessons on erosion, water quality, animal adaptations, habitats, survival skills and team building. District 6 schools use it free, and outside schools pay $25 per student for staff-led field experiences. The part that matters for homeschool families is a single sentence on the center’s page: a self-led program is a great option for homeschools and scout troops, and there is no cost for it.
Self-led does not mean unannounced. Even free groups must submit the online Program Request Form so a visit does not conflict with scheduled school programs, and building access depends on that request. Questions go to 970-348-4500.
