WOW! Children’s Museum, the hands-on museum at 110 N. Harrison Ave. in Lafayette, sells group field trips for any group of 10 to 30 children at $7 per child: a two-hour, self-guided visit that can be booked on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (not Wednesdays). For $3 more per child, the museum adds a 30-minute STEM Exploration lesson; its list includes Magical Magnets and Slime and Ooze, with the lessons written for ages 3 through fifth grade. The museum requires one adult supervisor for every eight children.
The educator pages speak of local school children rather than homeschoolers, but the minimum is simply 10 children, which a co-op or a few families can reach. Reservations go through the museum’s online form.
