Colorado Cherry Company calls itself a fourth-generation family business, and its original shop is still open along U.S. 34 near Loveland, on the road to Estes Park. The company traces its start to 1929, when, as its website tells it, Grandma Lehnert mastered the cherry pie.
The Loveland shop opened in the 1960s, during what the company calls the cherry boom of that decade. The third generation of the family added a second shop in Lyons in the early 2000s. By 2017 the business had a cafe and retail shop inside the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, followed by a full bakery in Windsor.
What they do
The company makes cherry and berry products, including pies, juices and ciders. The Loveland shop’s page on the site mentions freshly baked goods along with other finds. The company describes its Windsor bakehouse as the center of its pie and baked goods production, and that location also sells coffee, pastries, jams, ciders and salsas.
