Tom Bush and his wife, Diane, started Front Range Birding Company in 2003. The shop’s own history says their son John helped build the displays while Diane stocked the shelves. The business now has new owners, Dave and Lori Kwasnick, who write that they aim to continue what the Bushes established. They describe the store as a community hub where birders of all stripes, expert or beginner, gather to talk about their latest sightings.
What they do
The shop sells binoculars and spotting scopes, bird feeders, bird baths, nest boxes, bird seed and food, and books. The owners also list birding outings and speaking engagements, and the shop says it leads local monthly bird walks from its Littleton and Boulder stores and at Hudson Gardens. The second store is on Canyon Boulevard in Boulder.
