Sweet Bloom Coffee roasts its coffee in Lakewood, at a roastery and cafe on Reed Street. Its website says Andy Sprenger opened Sweet Bloom in Lakewood in 2013, coming home to Colorado after about a decade at Ceremony Coffee in Maryland, where he went from barista to roaster and won two U.S. Brewers Cup titles.
In 2019, the site says, Sweet Bloom joined forces with Eric Yochim, who had started Two Rivers Coffee in Arvada in 2010. The two are listed as owners, and the combined business runs under the Sweet Bloom name.
What they do
Sweet Bloom sources and roasts specialty coffee and sells it by the cup, by the bag and by subscription. The site says it favors smaller, recently harvested lots and coffee sold soon after roasting. It also lists workshops and tastings. Besides the Lakewood roastery, the company has cafes in Westminster and Arvada, and its locations page shows a Golden cafe at 800 Ford St. marked as opening soon.
