The orchard at YA YA Farm & Orchard started as a graduation present. The farm’s own history says Percy Goss moved onto the land in 1896, and in 1934 the family gave son Jim an apple orchard as a graduation gift. After the family left in 1979 the trees fell into neglect, until the current farm began in November 2003 and brought them back. Today it is an 8-acre orchard with about 1,000 fruit trees, mostly apple with some cherry, plum and pear, plus grapes, blackberries and raspberries.
What to expect in fall
The farm stand sells fresh apples, cider, apple cider donuts, butters, sauces, jams and honey, and you do not need a reservation or an entrance fee to stop in during open hours. U-pick is a different story: it is by reservation only, and the farm says its 2026 u-pick fruit is sold out with no waitlist. The farm also hosts tours, weddings and seasonal events, and its home page lists a BOOFest on Oct. 31.
