Boulder County embeds this video on its web page for the Agricultural Heritage Center, the free county farm museum on Ute Highway in Longmont. It comes from the Boulder County Open Space channel on YouTube, and the title is ‘Agricultural Heritage Center Volunteering Opportunities.’

Why now: the regular season is almost over. Through Oct. 31, the center is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. After that it opens only on the first Saturday of each month until April. The county says the farm animals (chickens, pigs, draft horses and sheep) are on site from April through October, so this is the last month to see them this year. The county also says it is looking for volunteers: tour guides, livestock caretakers and gardeners for its World War I era Victory Garden. We could not confirm when the video was published or how long it runs, and we have not described its contents beyond the title.

So she built it.

Her Christian faith is a big part of who she is and the way she sees the world. Colorado Local isn’t a faith-only publication, but you’ll absolutely find faith here, alongside stories about neighbors helping neighbors, churches serving their communities and people using what they have to make Colorado a little brighter.

Her mission for Colorado Local is pretty simple: help people get out, connect, support local and find more of the good happening right in front of us.
