Golden Cemetery Tour with Golden History Museum & Park (Saturday, Oct. 17, 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.)

Illustration of red rock foothills near Golden, Colorado

Golden History Museum & Park is leading its Golden Cemetery Tour on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, with two tour times: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Historian and storyteller Barb Warden walks visitors to the graves of well-known figures from Golden’s early days, including George West, a town founder who started the Colorado Transcript newspaper in 1866, and Seth Lake, who built the Astor House in 1867.

Tickets are $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members, and they are sold through the museum’s online registration system. Tours begin and end at the cemetery and go on rain or shine, so dress for the weather. The event page does not list a tour length or an age range.
