Butterfly Pavilion field trips in Westminster: $6 per student through February for homeschool groups of 10 or more

Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster books weekday field trips for classes, camps, daycares, homeschool groups and other youth groups. A field trip is a self-guided visit to the exhibits, and groups can add an educator-led class with live animals. Class topics are matched to grade bands: Butterfly Buddies (pre-K to first grade), Life Cycles (K to third), Spidey Friends (K to fifth), Pollinator Pals (first to fifth), Amazing Adaptations (second to fifth) and What’s That Bug?, which has a third to eighth grade version and a high school version.

Through Dec. 31, 2026, admission is $6 per student in the regular season (August through February) and $9 per student in peak season (March through July). The class add-on is $3 per student in either season. One adult for every five students gets in for $1, and extra adults pay regular admission. Prices rise on Jan. 1, 2027, to $9 per student in the regular season and $12 in peak season, with the class add-on still $3. Butterfly Pavilion says scholarships may cover up to 25% of the cost, but not during peak season.

A note for homeschool families: Butterfly Pavilion names homeschool groups among the groups that can book a field trip. The group size it lists is 10 to 50 students per class, so plan on gathering at least 10 students. Families who cannot put together a group that size can use the separate Butterfly Pavilion Homeschool Days instead, which are sold per person.
